Once you have successfully submitted your proposal on-chain and updated the description on Polkassembly and Subsquare, the tokenholders in the Polkadot DAO will be able to vote on the proposal.
This guide shows you recommended actions to take to socialize the proposal to find support from voters in the DAO.
As soon as the proposal goes on-chain, it will start receiving votes. Many voters will monitor new governance proposals and vote as they come in.
Donβt forget to issue your own vote! You can vote using Nova wallet on mobile or via the Polkassembly or Subsquare websites.
Itβs important to be engaged with the community while the propsoal is in progress. Once posted, community members may post comments and questions to the proposal on Polkassembly or Subsquare.
Itβs recommended that you check the proposal every few days and address questions.
Decentralized Voices (DV) is a program where the Web3 Foundation delegates a significant governance vote share to indivduals and groups in the community to help to evaluate propsoals and make funding decisions.
Participants are expected to vote regularly and explain the rationale behind their voting on Polkassembly, Subsquare, and/or other communications media (e.g. Polkaverse, X/Twitter, Polkadot Forum).

Generally, the groups charged with decision making will have an avenue for contact. Usually this is a telegram channel where proposers can notify the voter or request feedback. See the link below to find the most updated information about DVs.
Attempts-at-Governance (AAG) is a weekly show that discusses governance in Polkadot and Kusama. Teams that issue proposals are invited on to give a ten minute presentation and answer questions from the community.
Currently the show times are 3:30PM UTC on Mondays for the Kusama ecosystem and 3:30PM UTC on Thursdays for the Polkadot ecosystem.

KusDAO is the first open community dedicated to Polkadot governance where any member can participate in governance discussions and cast a vote towards referenda (one member = one vote). The votes are then tallied within Discord and automatically and cast as a group.
If you are a proposer, then you can participate in the discussion around your proposal and answer questions from the community.
